Interstate & Highways

Haywood County, North Carolina, is conveniently located near the intersection of I-26 and I-40 with 50% of the US population within a one day’s drive.  Major southeastern cities of Charlotte, Asheville, Greenville (SC), Knoxville (TN) and Atlanta (GA) are easily accessed by an efficient interstate highway system.

Airports

Asheville, one of the most rapidly growing areas of the country, lies only 25 minutes to the east.  Asheville Regional Airport is the most non-hub connected airport in America with non-stop service to Atlanta and Charlotte, Chicago, Detroit, NYC-Laguardia and Florida to name a few.

Rail Service

Railway and freight service are also available. The Blue Ridge Southern Railroad (BLU) operates 91.8 miles of track that consists of three branch lines that feed in Norfolk Southern’s terminal in Asheville. The T-Line runs west of Asheville and serves major employers of Evergreen Packaging Company, Giles Chemical and Jackson Paper in Sylva.
